Our legends tell of a time on this earth when all the world lay in
savagery. The gods sent to earth perfected souls of former races to teach
and assist in bringing wisdom to our race. Thus was born the Craft of the
Wise, the Old Religion. The Priesthood of this religion were the healers,
teachers and spiritual advisors to their people. Even when the old tribes
were at war, each Priesthood maintained a peaceful unity within their
society.
The Druidic Craft of the Wise (DCW) is a modern descendant of this
ancient tradition. Its teachings were compiled and organized into a
progressive series of lesson by our late Grand Master, Eli, who was born
and raised in the Ozark Mountains.
In 1970, Eli experienced a vision showing him that it was time to
disseminate the teachings of the Craft for this New Age of Aquarius - the
Age of Knowledge, when many people will no longer be content to rely on
their beliefs, but rather will want to Know Truth for themselves.
Witchcraft
Witchcraft is a word that scares people due to much misunderstanding
and misinformation which began during the famous inquisition when
approximately 9 million people were executed as 'witches'. This prejudice
has continued to this very day regardless of the fact that witches don't
worship Satan, hex people, eat babies or any of the hundreds of crimes
they were charged with doing. It is because of this continued persecution
that we are still very secret with our teachings and practices.
Eli taught that being a witch was not a matter of ancestry or heredity,
but rather a beautifully simple way of thinking and living in Harmony with
the Earth and all Her Life, and looking to the Father for guidance. He
therefore offered these teachings to everyone who expresses a sincere
interest in the Way.
The Druidic Craft of the Wise continues the School Eli established
during his life. We offer a series of courses and practices designed to
help you to find Peace within yourself, a knowledge of Natural Laws and
natural Living and a way to form your own destiny through practicing the
techniques of Magic.
The principles taught by the Druidic Craft of the Wise can be applied
to any religion or life-style in the American Culture. Whether you live in
the city or country, the study of the Way can help you to know yourself
and your place in the Plan of Creation.
Basic Philosophy of the Craft
The Teachings of the Craft begin with a three section book called the
First Book of Wisdom. The first section of this book contains the very old
legends of the Craft as told to us by Eli. These legends are a codified
teaching of the creation of the universe, and history of the earth and
humanity. The Legends give us the background information of the history of
the Craft.
The second section of the book is called the Sacred Tenets of the
Craft. Here we are exposed to a detailed description of the world view of
the Craft, life and death, Cause and Effect, our place in the universe and
countless other topics.
The last section of the book is called the Landmarks. Here we have a
printing of the very old laws and procedures of the structure of the
Craft, the bill of rights of each member and the code of operation of the
Coven.
Studying the Craft
The DCW offers a minimum three month course in Craft philosophy, upon
the successful completion of this course, the student is eligible for
initiation into the Craft of the Wise. Upon successful completion of a
thirteen month Apprenticeship, the member is eligible for Fellowship in
the Craft of the Wise.
Members are eligible to study the Craft's different courses in Music,
Dance, Astrology, Agriculture and Natural Medicine. Membership in the
Craft is much more that mere 'book learning,' it is a way of life that
touches the soul deeply.
The Teachings given us by Eli relate the mortal part of our life to the
mental and spiritual part. They result in a practical application of
Nature's Laws (as codified in the Hermetic Principles), clarifying them
for all those who wish to work for better understanding of their natural
relationship with the Mother Earth and our Heavenly Father and to use this
deepened understanding to improve themselves and the world in which we
live.
We can not vouch for any group calling themselves the Druidic Craft of
the Wise, unless they have been chartered by our office listed below. If
you are interested in studying with a particular group and would like to
verify that group's standing with us, please feel free to email us at any time.
